Cedar Rail Stomp

[Verse 1] Early morning frost on the cedar rail Footsteps slow on an overgrown trail Old hound resting by the cabin door Listening to the wind on the wooden floor [Chorus] Oh the timberline sighs in the morning chill Patience running steady through the quiet hill Take a heavy heart and you let it mend Where the winding path meets the river bend [Verse 2] Rays of light cutting through the pine Sorting out the troubles in this mind of mine Work is waiting when the noon arrives Finding steady rhythm in our simple lives
