“If This Is Goodbye” is a song about looking back at a life filled with mistakes, love, family, laughter and all the imperfect moments that made it worth living. In the end, there is no wish for more success, more possessions or another chance to prove something. There is only one wish: More time with the people we love. We cannot promise someone another year, another day or another night. Time was never ours to give. Love was. And sometimes the best we can hope for is to be able to say: I lived. I loved. I was loved. And damn, I had it all.
