Traumatized

Dark Mark's Playhouse comes from a place of loss. Released on the one-year anniversary of my mother's death, this record is a letter to grief, and also to a pop culture that seems lost, swinging between disillusionment and despair. I came from the upstate New York rock scene of the early '90s, and desert rock by way of the Masters of Reality and Chris Goss has always been my backyard: heavy, drugged, teetering on emotional collapse. These songs are synthetic covers, as are all my songs, built within an AI studio framework. But the lyrics are cruel sips from my heart. Play it loud, play it when you need to be alone.
